With years of experience performing in senior roles in multiple sectors both in Australia and overseas, Chrys heads the functions critical to developing and nurturing partner relationships across the group and the operational aspects of the business.
Chrys has a long-term connection to Caason; having worked with us on several investments in Sri Lanka since 2014. He was pleased to join the Caason team based out of our Melbourne headquarters in 2019 and recently has been able to allow our company head to focus on our strategic direction by relieving him of over several additional key functions such as staffing, marketing and communications.
In Australia, Chrys was an integral part of the leadership group at Goldman Sachs in their Equity Finance division for over 10 years where he was responsible for managing high net worth client relationships along with new client acquisitions. As a standout operational milestone, he was part of a team that successfully managed Goldman Sachs’ smooth acquisition of the equity finance division of JBWere in 2005.
With a passion for supporting industry development internationally, Chrys was invited by the Government of Sri Lanka to head State owned enterprise; the Skills Development Fund Limited, where he was able to successfully turn around a loss bearing institution by strategizing and implementing positive policies. Prior to this engagement he was appointed as a consultant to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) where he was responsible for the roll out of a 10 point capital market development program.
Chrys is currently undertaking a Masters Program in Banking & Finance to complement his post graduate qualifications in Management from the Monash University (Australia) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Management.
