Caason hemp trial on APH supported by FFLI

Following NT’s hemp legislation passing, Caason Group is seeking industry partnerships for its Aileron Pastoral Holdings (APH) hemp trial, as reported by ABC Rural.
At APH’s NT site, ongoing collaboration with Food, Fibre & Land International Group (FFLI) will see FFLI provide industrial hemp seed, crop management and facilitate offtake agreements.
Craig Astill is Caason Group’s MD & CEO and also a non executive director of FFLI.
Craig Astill said: “With successful crops already in Western Australia (pictured), FFLI is a grower of high quality industrial hemp and is conducting R&D into cannabidiol (CBD) extracts; well-being products/food; and building materials.”
An APH hemp trial is subject to licences that won’t be available until next year. Industry partnerships represent an opportunity for Caason to develop an agricultural arm to its NT business.
