Even smarter ear tag for animal welfare

Ceres Tag has manufactured an even smarter ear tag for animal welfare and traceability, now 30% smaller and set for farmers in the Americas, Australasia and Southern Africa. The tags are now close to their final size and almost ready for commercial release in 2020. Caason Group has also pushed out the Aileron Pastoral Holdings/Ceres Tag trial to 2020, a time better suited to cattle processing.

Craig Astill, MD & CEO of Caason Group, said: “With Caason Group a significant shareholder in Ceres Tag it is wonderful to see their progress.”

Other major Ceres Tag supporters include Meat & Livestock Australia Donor Company, Queensland Government, CSIRO and James Cook University.
