Ti Tree Food & Fodder obtains low THC Industrial Hemp Licence

Caason Group subsidiary, Ti Tree Food & Fodder declared its intent to pioneer the growth of low THC industrial hemp production in the NT.

The recent acquisition of the Oolloo Farm in the Northern Territory, signalled the groups intentions to developing new crops and apply significant knowledge through Innovation/R&D. These ambitions were greatly boosted last week with Ti Tree Food & Fodder being granted their low THC industrial hemp licence. “The fact that Oolloo Farm is one of a few properties in the region that produces irrigated crops, makes our goals realistic” said Craig Astill, MD and CEO of Caason Group.

The existing infrastructure at Oolloo Farm will be used to start commercial production of low THC industrial hemp. The venture will be complementary to the Groups research trials at Aileron Station. We are excited that this latest development will allow us to explore further commercial collaborations with our existing networks within the industry, such as Food Fibre & Land International (FFLI) and Hemp Farms Australia (HFA)
