Ceres Tag has successfully deployed their first commercial tags for livestock monitoring at Caason Group’s Aileron Pastoral Holdings (APH).
Northern Territory based Station Managers Sarah and Craig Cook commented on the ease of use and how quickly they saw the data.
David Smith, Ceres Tag CEO, said: “It was good to hear the feedback about how easy the APH team thought the platform was to use and the usefulness of the information.”
Ceres Tag will help deliver significant value to all parties along the supply chain from farmers to consumers knowing where livestock are, how many, their condition, welfare and performance.
Craig Astill, MD and CEO of Caason Group and Aileron Pastoral Holdings, said: “We were thrilled to have the Ceres Tag team on Aileron Pastoral Holdings to deliver Australia’s first commercial Ceres Tags. Ten Aileron heifers were ear tagged and we’re now watching their icons move around a 100sqkm+ paddock on our Northern Territory cattle station from our Melbourne office via the Ceres Tag livestock data stream. Other key metrics we’re viewing are pasture utilisation and activity monitoring. Our cattle’s behavioural patterns and movements are continuing to surprise us.”
Ceres Tags will be live and available for purchase globally in May 2021.
