Bala has pursued a life-long passion for emerging technology and innovation. Through Caason Group’s partnership with Innova Sierra, Bala is responsible for our innovation and R&D consultancy services. Bala is CEO & Managing Director of Innova Sierra Pty Ltd, an AusIndustry registered Research Service Provider. Together, we are actively engaged in developing innovative products and solutions with emerging companies in the telecommunications, mining automation, smart grid technology, bioinformatics and biotech sectors.

Bala draws on over 30 years’ experience in the ICT industry. He has been responsible for delivery of large telecommunication infrastructures to government departments and multinationals such as Telstra, Telecom NZ and Commonwealth Bank. Bala is a director and board advisor for many technology and education companies. He is also a former director of an ASX listed company. He is also the past chairman of IEEE Victorian Section and was awarded the IEEE Millennium Medal for outstanding contributions. Today, Bala remains a Senior Member of the IEEE.

Bala is listed in Marquis Who’s Who. He is currently Executive Chair of Global Knowledge Alliance. Bala was a Joint Director Dept of Electronics, Govt of India and Member Secretary of National Radar Council Working Group.

Bala has published several papers on satellite communications, data communications, universal personal telecommunications, multimedia and multi service inter-working.
